Qinzhou port becomes the largest import port for manganese ore in China
In recent years, Qinzhou port has become the major collecting and distributing centre for manganese ore in Southern China. Its manganese ore throughput capacity in 2009 was over 2.6 million tons, up by 170% from that of last year. And the volume was equal to 30% of China total volume. In the first half of 2010, its throughput capacity reaches 1.27 million tons, increasing by 45% over the same period last year, more than the sum capacity of Zhanjiang port, Beihai port and Fangcheng Port.
